Ros Toynbee


Ros Toynbee is an experienced leadership and management coach, trainer and facilitator.

Her background is in law, media and financial services. She used to work at the BBC, where she delivered the Established Leader and Team Leader Programmes with Ashridge Business School. She also delivered change workshops to help the business achieve a 47% reduction in headcount.

In 2003, she became one of the first leadership coaches to join the BBC's award-winning Internal Coaching Service. She coached senior editors and producers in local radio, TV and the World Service. Ros went on to become a mentor coach for new staff going through their Coach Foundation Course, and she also designed and delivered coaching skills training for their managers and HR professionals.

Ros worked with GE Money Home Lending - General Electric's mortgage and unsecured loan business in the UK - to roll out their new Management Essentials and Talent Development Programmes. She also coached the senior management team's direct reports in the finance, IT, legal and compliance divisions, designed bespoke training sessions, and facilitated team away days.

Ros is accredited by the International Coaching Federation and is a member of the Association for Coaching. She has trained with the Work Foundation and CoachU (USA), and is an NLP Practitioner.

Besides leadership development, Ros also offers career and outplacement coaching and workshops through The Career Coach (). She regularly gives talks to the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and is frequently interviewed by the press.
